The SINE Wave

Electricity is made, in it’s simplest form by a rotating magnet and a coil of wire. As one of the magnet’s poles, passes over the coil it generates electricity, and as the opposite pole goes past it generated electricity in the reverse polarity. This is an alternating voltage and it rises and falls in a sinewave pattern. If you could take a 3D sine wave and turn it on its side you would see a circle. It’s a spiral or a spring on it’s side. If my maths teacher would’ve explaind all the SOH CAH TOA stuff in a way that showed real live examples, I would’ve got it! Now as an electrician, it’s easy for me to understand.
