FUSE Services is a Leeds-based security and electrical engineering company. Our background is in fuel refinery and petrol forecourt infrastructure, hazardous-area electrical systems and large-scale forecourt technology, environments where a fault has real operational consequences and guesswork is not an option.
That is an unusual background for a company fitting an alarm to a house in Alwoodley. It is also exactly why our systems tend to keep working. We design and install security systems the way we were trained to work on critical infrastructure: methodically, with structured fault-finding rather than swapping parts until the problem goes away.

Why Ajax
We fit Ajax because it is the system we would put in our own homes.
- Photo verification. Ajax MotionCam detectors take a series of photographs when triggered, so you can see what set the alarm off rather than guessing. Photos arrive in seconds.
- It resists interference. Frequency hopping, encrypted communication and jamming detection, so the system tells you if something is trying to interfere with it.
- Built to recognised standards. Ajax equipment is manufactured to EN 50131 and PD 6662, the European and British standards for intruder alarm systems.
- Multiple communication paths. The hub can use Ethernet and mobile data together, so losing one connection does not lose the alarm.
- Wireless, without the compromise. No chasing walls, no lifting floors, no redecorating afterwards, with the reliability of a wired system.
- It is genuinely usable. The app is good. That matters more than it sounds, because a system people find annoying is a system people stop arming.
Ajax is made by Ajax Systems, a Ukrainian manufacturer whose equipment has won repeated international design and industry awards.
How we work
1. Survey. We come and look. We talk about how you use the building, where the genuine vulnerabilities are, and what you actually want to achieve. No pressure, no scripted pitch.
2. Design. We specify a system for your property. If you need less than you thought, we will say so.
3. Installation. Carried out by our own engineers, tidily, with respect for your home or premises. Leaving the place clean is part of the job, not an afterthought.
4. Handover. We set the system up properly, configure the app, and make sure you can use it before we leave.
5. Afterwards. We answer the phone. We come back. Judging by what customers tell us about their previous installers, this is rarer than it should be.
Trust section
We hear the same thing from new customers constantly: the last company did not turn up, kept cancelling, or never sent the quote at all.
That is a poor way to treat people, and it is a low bar to clear. We clear it by doing the ordinary things properly, arriving when we said, quoting when we said, and finishing the job.

Common questions
For the overwhelming majority of properties, wireless. Modern wireless systems like Ajax are as reliable as wired ones, and installation does not mean lifting floors or chasing walls. Wired still makes sense on some new builds and larger commercial sites, and we will tell you if yours is one.
It is the question we get asked most. Ajax systems use frequency hopping and encrypted communication, and actively detect jamming attempts, if something tries to interfere, the system reports it rather than going quietly offline. A cheap wireless system is a genuine risk. A properly specified one is not.
Your Ajax system alerts you through the app immediately, and MotionCam detectors send photographs so you can see what triggered it. Sirens sound at the property. You decide what to do next, with actual information rather than a guess.
No. Police response requires a Unique Reference Number, which can only be issued through an installer certificated by NSI or SSAIB, and we do not currently hold that certification. If police response is essential for your property, we will tell you so at survey rather than after installation.
Speak to your insurer before you commit. Some policies require a system installed by an NSI or SSAIB certificated company, and we are not one. Many domestic policies have no such requirement. We would rather you check first than find out later.
It depends entirely on the property and what you want covered. We survey, then quote, and the quote is what you pay.
