What could be nicer on a summers day than taking a trip up on the roof for a birds eye view!

Well we’re not up there for fun, but still enjoyable work.

On this job we removed a satellite dish that some character had installed on a chimney.

He installed it with a lashing kit, but unfortunately each time he tightened the steel wire around the chimney, a bit more render crumbled under the tension after a few months, and satellites are VERY directional and need to be aligned exactly. He eventually he stopped coming out.

We re-sited a new dish on the wall where it was solid and would stay where we pointed it.

Very very difficult to get the apprentice off his mobile though – you know what they are like!!
